Your Aviation Briefing
Hello, here’s your Aviation Briefing for Wednesday 30 March 2022.
Over one week since the crash in China, more than 36,000 fragments of the China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 have been recovered, authorities have confirmed. In addition, the two flight recorders (cockpit voice recorder, and flight data recorder – commonly referred to as the ‘black boxes’) have been recovered.
It was China’s worst air disaster in 12 years, and investigators say it is still unclear what could have led the 6-year-old Boeing 737 jet to nosedive. Chinese authorities have said the process to extract data from the black boxes has started.
Starting this Friday (1 April) Singapore will open to all the world’s vaccinated travellers, scrapping its “vaccinated travel lanes” as well as arrival tests & quarantine, and instead allowing entry to any vaccinated travellers who test negative before entering Singapore by air or sea.
