Hello, here’s your Aviation Briefing for Wednesday 20 April 2022.

We begin in Montreal, Canada – home to the United Nations agency for aviation, the “International Civil Aviation Organisation” more commonly referred to as “ICAO” — where Beijing is expected to submit an early investigation report today with its initial findings on why a China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 crashed last month. Flight MU5735 descended sharply and crashed into a southern Chinese hillside – tragically killing all 132 onboard.

As per international aviation law, the airline should submit a preliminary report to the ICAO within 30 days of a crash.
